About

Growing up, I always wanted to step through a door into an imaginary kingdom, so it’s no surprise I now call Middle Earth home. Too short to be an elf and too tall to be a Hobbit, I live in the centre of New Zealand. Rotorua is a gorgeous town filled with thermal activity, stunning lakes, and enough Redwood trees to make this California native swoon.

I studied English Literature at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where I also met and married my husband and had three children. The Central Coast of California still rates as one of my favourite places ever.

I’m jumping into the publishing world; YA fiction with a dash of fantasy, a little bit of sci-fi, and a smidgen of romance is where my pen takes me.

My unpublished YA fantasy, The Two Queens of Kyrie, won the American Christian Fiction Writer’s 2015 First Impressions contest and the 2016 Genesis contest in the YA category.  I’m submitting that manuscript and another WIP in hopes of securing an agent. And I recently had my first story, a flash fiction piece called ‘The Stone Veil,’ published in Havok magazine’s July 2017 issue.

Love: coffee!!! tree ferns, dark chocolate, British spelling (except for tyre, that one still looks weird), and Jesus.

Hate: raw poultry, spiders, cycling (but not cyclists), and mould.

Hobbies: writing, reading, knitting, and running (don’t worry, not running whilst knitting!)

I hope you’ll call me Jeb, then I know we’ll be friends.

You can also connect with me on Facebook,  Instagram, or Twitter.

Hope to see you around more often and feel free to introduce yourself in the comment section.

Be blessed,
